Chesley Sullenberger was born January 23, 1951 in Denison, Texas. He earned a Bachelor of Science at the U.S. Air Force Academy and also two Master’s degrees, one in Industrial Psychology at Purdue University and a second in Public Administration at the University of Northern Colorado. He was an USAF pilot until 1980’s when he switched to civil airplanes.
