Bobby Braddock, who was born in Lakeland, Florida, in 1940, began his musical career as a pianist in a number of regional rock bands. He made the decision to move to Nashville in 1964 after finding some success as a songwriter for Billy Chambers and Jody Anderson. He worked in Music City as a session musician, songwriter, and finally performer (he released his debut solo record, Between the Lines, in 1973).
