Who Is Adrienne Bailon
Adrienne Bailon is an American actress, entrepreneur, singer, and television personality. She gained national popularity during the early 2000s when she joined the girl groups 3LW (3 Little Women) and The Cheetah Girls. During her career, Adrienne has guest-starred in man television series with her most notable appearances being in “That’s So Raven” and “The Suite Life of Zack and Cody”. Since 2013, she’s been working as the co-host of “The Real” and in the process, she became the first Latina to host a daytime talk show.
Discovered by Ricky Martin
Bailon’s first big break was during a church choir concert. The choir had the opportunity to sing at Madison Square Garden in New York. As legend tells, pop star Ricky Martin was in attendance, later performing that evening at the Garden.
After the choir’s performance, Martin requested the four best singers from the choir join him that evening on stage as his back up singers. Bailon was one of the four selected. That chance encounter and taste of performing in front of a rock-n-roll audience was enough for Bailon to rethink her career path. She was considering medical school and obstetrics (once telling an interviewer that “I wanted to bring babies into the world!”), but instead chose to pursue her musical dreams.
The choice wasn’t too difficult. When Bailon was taking part in an internship with Mount Sinai Beth Israel Hospital in New York (presumably, as Bailon refers to it as “Beth Israel” in an interview with television network mun2), she was introduced to and scouted by a music producer.
Bailon was asked to join an R&B girl group, named 3LW, short for Three Little Women. Other members included Kiely Williams and Naturi Naughton. The group was signed by Epic Records and they released their first album in 1999. In the early 2000s, 3LW would play alongside such luminaries as Destiny’s Child, Nelly, Eve, and Jessica Simpson.
Disney and The Cheetah Girls
After the departure of Naughton from the group, Bailon and Williams continued as a duo. During that time, they were approached by Disney to star in a film about a girl group. They would play two members of a foursome, led by Disney star Raven-Symone and rounded out with singer Sabrina Bryan.
The film, titled The Cheetah Girls, which also served as the name of the girl group, was a hit. The soundtrack debuted at No. 33 on the Billboard 200 chart and eventually went Platinum.
Success pushed Disney to make the band official, signing Bailon, Williams and Bryan as The Cheetah Girls. Symone declined the offer. The band’s first album, A Cheetah-licious Christmas, was also a smash.
The hits led to follow-up films, including The Cheetah Girls 2 and The Cheetah Girls: One World. By 2008, interest in the group had waned and the group officially disbanded.
Acting and a new talk show career
When The Cheetah Girls ended, Bailon moved on to a solo career, signing a record deal with Def Jam! and releasing her first album in 2009. She also signed a deal to star in the Style Network’s Empire Girls: Julissa and Adrienne, which followed the lives of Bailon and her good friend Julissa Bermudez as they tried to build their careers.
Bailon went on to host a pre-show for The X-Factor and star a number of smaller films and network movies-of-the-week, including The Coalition and Lovestruck: The Musical.
Then, in 2013, Bailon was chosen to co-host a new daytime talk show, The Real, alongside Loni Love, Tamar Braxton, Tamera Mowry and Jeannie Mai. The show launched in 2013 with a short summer trial period on select stations in a few cities. It debuted nationally in September 2014.
How did Adrienne Bailon earn her net worth?
The prosperity of 3LW helped Bailon become rich during her late teen years. In early 2000, they were signed to Epic Records and soon they released their self-titled debut studio album. Two years later, they released two more studio albums (“A Girl Can Mack” and “Naughty or Nice”), and at that time, both Bailon and Williams became more involved in the Disney girl group “The Cheetah Girls”. Eventually, 3LW was disbanded in 2007 and Bailon moved on to work with the other girl group. At that time, she reportedly earned more than $100,000.
Towards the late 2000s, Adrienne found a lot more success as part of “The Cheetah Girls”. The group was signed by Hollywood Records and they released two studio albums, two extended plays, and starred in three eponymous films – “The Cheetah Girls”, “The Cheetah Girls 2”, and “The Cheetah Girls: One World”. All of the films had commercial and critical success as they all amassed more than 3 million viewers. Adrienne’s name rose to stardom at that time and her net worth exceeded $500,000.
Why is she so famous?

She was given the opportunity to be one of Martin’s back-up vocalists during his concert show “Livin La Vida Loca”, which happened the same night.
