His real name is Herbert Anthony Stevens IV and he was born February 23, 1987 in Los Angeles, California. He grew up in Germany since his father was a soldier and was stationed there for a long time on a military base. Ab-Soul signed a contract with Top Dawg Entertainment in 2007 and formed a band Black Hippy together with K-Dot, Schoolboy Q, and Jay Rock.
His first studio album came out in 2011 and was named Longterm Mentality. It was followed by Control System and latest These Days… that was published in 2014. As of July 2015, Ab-Soul made his fans very happy when he announced on Twitter that hi next album is almost ready. We can’t wait.
